Interesting Fact
Did you ever wonder where the name Scopex came from? Virtually every bait company in existence has a Scopex flavour in their range, but the man behind the original word and product was none other than Crafty Carper contibutor and carp angling legend, Rod Hutchinson. Rod told Crafty:
"The name Scopex came whilst I was testing some flavours mane, many years ago. I tested hundreds of different flavours before I came up with those that I wanted to use in my range, and most were very easy to name since they already had names like strawberry, maple etc, etc. One flavour in particular, though, didn't have a name. It was just a sample I recieved. The thing was when I tested it, everything seemed to like it; the roach, bream, tench, you name it, all went mad for this flavour. It had a wide scope of fish interested in it so I decided to base the name around this fact. I added the X to the end of SCOPE just to add a bit of mystery, because the flavour was a mystery really in that it didn't have a name."
