Hello Everyone!
I'm sorry I don't speak Dutch...yet so I would write in engels...
I'm close to my first fishing trial in the Netherlands, but have quite many questions and hope will find some help over here.
I bought a VISpas in Lelystad's RAVEN winkel and got a book Landelijk & Federatieve Lijst van Viswateren.
At the same time I was told that to fish at night all year round I need to get another Pas.
For example, I can get the PAS of FEDERATIE GOOI EN EEMLAND e.o. which will allow me to fish at night all year round with 3 rods on following waters:
A: Lage Vaart, Trekweg tussen viaduct N 702 en de Vaartplas (gemeente Lelystad);
B: Hoge Vaart, het gedeelte langs de Groenlingweg (achter de vuilnisbelt, gemeente Almere);
C: Lage Vaart, in het Lage Vaartbos het gedeelte langs het Rodemijnsteenpad (parallel aan
de Dronterweg, gemeente Lelystad).
1) I think, I could find place A, but can't identify 2 other spots. Can anyone pls help with googling?
2) Can I use a bright tent there? (heard that in some places you're are allowed to use only green or khaki)
Thanks in advance,
Serge.

Fishing since 5 years old, started with carpfishing last summer only, so I'm rookie here. And i'm releasing fish...

Sergei, bright tents are frowned upon by most who consider themselves serious carp anglers here.
Try to find Groenlingweg in Almere, and/or Dronterweg in Lelystad in Google maps, it was easy for me so it should be easy for you as well.

Thanks Edward, that is my rule as well...everywhere, does not matter if it is allowed to take the fish or not...
Bedankt, Vincent,
oke, I will try to switch to carper tent, but they are not cheap at all...and I have two professional tourist's tents, which are orange and blue...So, probably I'll have to use them at the beginning...but then I will definitely switch...What is the main reason of being not welcomed? It is considered that bright colour is frightening off the fish?
As to spots on the map - thanks! Firts one I could even visit (without fishing), just exploring...nice place, I think I'll try first there.
Second - ok, it was easy to find Groenlingweg on the map and it is not very long, so I trust it is allowed to fish all along that road...but Dronterweg...its quite a distance...is it allowed all along that route?
(unfortunately I can't paste screenshots yet...)
Thanks,
Sergei.

Well, the general opinion seems to be that anglers with bright tents are more partygoers than anglers! As you may have noticed already, anglers from eastern countries are not really popular around here, mainly because some of them have different ethics with regards to catch and release of fish, especially carp. Dutch anglers are strongly opposed against eating their quarry, which to lots of fishermen from eastern countries seems a normal and even decent thing to do. Very much a cultural thing.
Bright tents and swims littered with empty wodka bottles, carp on the BBQ and drunken behaviour are what dutch anglers have in mind when they think about eastern country anglers. For them this is horror, although not all dutch carp anglers seem to behave as civilized as they like to think.
Just make sure you got the right licenses, behave well and things will turn out alright for you.
Good luck!

So to be clear: A bright tent is not forbidden and there is no single reason why a green tent is better than a bright coloured tent when it comes to fishing. Only people who fish in a forbidden area and don't want to be seen by the police should probably not use an orange tent I'm still wondering why everyone without a green tent is considered a poor angler...
Especially the green tents in the middle of a city area are hilarious
Good luck with your quest for Dutch carp Sergei

Thanks a lot for explanation, Vincent!
Fair enough! Thats mostly true...
As to me, though (as you already guessed) I'm from Russia, my rules are as strict here as yours.
Be sure, that I will make sure there is no negative effect on nature or/and people around or any other harm from me.
Dank u wel for support,
Sergei.

Christian, thanks for your comments. Indeed, colour, if it is not frightnening off the cautious Carp, should not be a measure of judge of angler's ability or behaviour, but still I'm looking into buying "proper" tent...we'll see.
As to the rest, as I said - I'm fully agree with all the rules around catch&release and that type of fishing.
Yep, I need luck and it is really a quest Always difficult to start smth in new place.
I will report here how it goes.
Best regards,
S.

Nightfishing is not permitted allong the whole Dronterweg. The area is just a small part which is about 500-600 meters. It starts at the the big intersection of channels at the edge of Lelystad and ends at the bridge of the Larserringweg.
It's a small but good part, so give it a try...

Hello, Ron!
Thanks a lot for the information! But does it mean that when I have the additional license indicated in the first post of the topic, I can fish at night within this area of ~500 meters between the "watercross" and the bridge of Larserringweg?
Regards,
S.

Thanks, Ron!
Yesterday tried on Trekweg, 500 metres from the viaduct N702, zero result, but it was my first fishing in the Netherlands!
...It was not a night fishing (did not get a night license yet)...
...actually, the place looks very crowded... but not with anglers...cars are passing by on both sides of the canal every minute, motorcycles every 5 minutes, bicycles every 10 sec...and every half an hour boats were sailing by... Problem that those boats (don't know if the fish is get used to it) are a potential threat for the line - with 15-20 of them I had no issues, but there were 2 big ones which crabbed somehow my line...and spool it from the reel almost completely! I was lucky that first time it was cut off by the propeller and the second time I could cut it off by pincers before line ended...
so, now, I think, I'll look for more quite place next time

Last night was at Dronterweg (finally got my night license). Though nice spot at the water crossing was busy, I went to Larserrinweg bridge. There were no signs of the fish till 23.00, from that and till 1.30 I had several good takes, but could catch only one small - 4 kgs.
From 1.30 to 8.00 nothing at all...and from 8.00 to 10.30 again some action - 2 good takes and some easy trials, but all the time fish was faster than me
Though I tried a lot, all those takes were only on peach-pineapple boiles 14mm...
I'm very happy, cause it is my first overnight and first caught fish in the Netherlands!
