Uiteraard zal het boek nooit 100% correct zijn maar dat is ook bijna onmogelijk.
Zie hieronder ook het commentaar van Kenth Esbensen over zijn site jongens.
Regarding the critics of the informations on my page, they obviously come from persons who have not bothered to read it carefully before they claim the informations cannot be trusted!
The informations on nightfishing possibilities and rules given in the
http://www.carphunters.com pages include the latest officially available, as I have contacted the associations in each French department early in 2004 and got feedback from most - but not all. All these latest informations are found in the pages - and in the book - and problably noone can do better than that. As is very clearly pointed out in the entry page to French carp waters, some reservations are needed to be taken into account, as some info may prove to be outdated, because changes occur all the time - or may simply be wrong because of errors in my sources - and nor I or anyone else are automatically informed from everywhere, if conditions change.
The informations given in the CH-pages are the best currently available in one reference - and I do what I can to keep touched up on news and changes in info on European carp waters - and I keep no secrets! As anyone can imagine, a site with info like this is not possible as a one-man affair - I consider the main contributors to be a part of the team - and luckily many anglers from quite a few different countries continue to add new informations and correct mistakes or errors found. Both I and the visitors of the site benefit from these helping hands - and the site cannot exist without such feedback from other carpanglers.
Of course some persons may know different of specific waters they or their friends have fished - but instead of bringing pointless and misunderstood criticism forward, that will be of no help to anyone, they ought to fill me in on
info@carphunters.com, to allow me keep in touch with what conditions truly are at these waters.
Instead they choose to bargue in their own backyard - trying to draw the attention away from the less flattering fact, that they do nothing to help giving the correct picture! Quite a few people really like to be given a helping hand - but wouldn't care to lift even a little finger to help others. Bravo, Gentlemen .....
These persons are most welcome to try to do a better job with trying to build up a site with this kind of informations - but I suggest they use their energy to help us in the CARPHUNTERS.COM crew to make the site even better. How difficult can it possibly be to write me a mail to correct any of the (hopefully quite few) incorrect informations found the CH-pages? It will be of benefit to all traveling carpanglers whishing to fish in France (-or in any other country). There's no reason to try to invent the hook once again ....
Kindly Regards
