Hello!
I'm a carp angler from Slovenia and plan to do some fishing on the Kempisch channel in October. It is quite difficult to find some more specific information when simply googlin' it, so I am asking anyone, who has got some more knowledge of the KK to send me a personal message... I won't bother you with questions like "Tell me a spot where I will catch a KK carp for sure" or any similar stupid questions. Just need some more information before I head off to belgium.

well, I already recieved a notice from one of the board members, that I have to fish C&R in Belgium, because apparently I could be dangerous to carp as I come from a certain part of Europe. I just want everyone to know, that I have been carp fishing for quite a while now (it's been 15+ years, I guess) and practice C&R for ALL species I fish for, not just carp... so don't worry, no information that any kind person shares with me will be used to steal, damage or even kill carp...

It would be helpfull to tell which stretch of the KK you're planning to fish. KK is quite a long stretch of water with 10 locks, each stretch has it's own peculiarities.
Can you be a bit more specific about what you want to know exactly?

Thank you for your replies! I have received some very helpful information via PM... I haven't really made a plan to fish any particular stretch, but I am planing to start with one of the "easier"( i know, not a correct word to use in the same sentence with KK) and not so heavily fished stretches... my initial plan is not to catch very large carp, my plan is to catch carp from the KK, that's it... if anything big bites, I will be thrilled, but i want at least catch something...

That's a good aim. Any carp from the famous KK is a quite a feat. Shot you a PM with some info.
